Happy Birthday!
I think I should spend the day at The Crossings soon. It's been a while. I don't have to get any spa treatments. Just being there is enough. I'll wait a little longer, though, until it gets warm enough to swim in the pool.
Today, there's a chill in the air and the sky is gray. I hear there are icy days coming.
I'm ready for Spring and warm sunny days.
A friend of mine asked if I would take some photos of her for her website. She had some ideas and I had some ideas and we worked together to come up with some things that she says she likes.
It was very challenging because I have no equipment, other than my camera, to do a studio-like portrait session. But I improvised and the photos didn't turn out too bad. Then I got a book on digital portrait photography for Christmas. I still don't have any equipment but I feel better prepared to do a session like that.
And since then, two people have approached me about doing some portraits for them. I'm seriously thinking about taking them up on their offers. I'll ask them to keep their clothes on, though.
I just haven't had any time since last November to do any posting here. Sure, there are interesting things going on and the kids are always saying or doing something that makes me laugh. But I think I'm going to use this space more like a photoblog and periodically post some of my favorite photos. And if something really funny or exciting happens, I'll still let you know.
So today I'm posting a photo I took early one morning last week. It was very cold and there was ice everywhere. Later that day, it snowed and the kids had a great time breaking off icicles and trying to make snow balls.
