Do you want to hustle?

I love night shots!

This is the ISH chandelier about the dance floor. I wasn't really in a dancing mood but it sure looked good. Makes me want to dance now. At 8:30 in the morning. That's a sign that I am a morning person, not a night person. I really need to let go of that whole "I'm a night owl" thing. Cause it's not true.

procession flags

I survived another Flipside. I think it may have been the hottest year yet. It was also the windiest and the burn was pushed back to around midnight. I liked having a later burn. It allowed me to nap when it wasn't so hot and then I was able to stay up later and actually enjoy the festivities. During the day, I moved as little as possible but the heat still takes its toll. That nap made everything better.

How's that for pretentious?

Taken from my daughter's birthday flowers, about a week after her birthday. I think I need to take more photos of dying or dead flowers. I could do a whole series of flowers past their prime.

I actually have been taking photos lately. I just haven't had much time at home to do anything with them. Friday night I sat down at the computer and got a bunch ready to post on Flickr. Here's one.

My kids' school has a very nice teaching garden. Right now there's a lot in bloom and this pond has some very pretty water lilies. I really like all the reflections of the sun in the water.

Not foolin' anyone

Well, the kids aren't getting up before the crack of dawn anymore. The wonder of the fish tank has started to wear off. But they still like it and like to watch the fish, especially at feeding time. We got this little guy on Saturday. Unfortunately for the kids, he likes to eat in the dark (at night) so they don't get to watch him eat. But it is still weird to see him attached to the side of the tank. And it's always fun to try to find him. He likes to hide and he blends in with some of the rocks. They say this fish can live 15-20 years and can get up to 2 feet long. I wonder if I'll have to get a bigger tank one day. I guess that wouldn't be too terrible.
