Narcissus



Ah, Spring! We've got the flowers and the showers and the hail. The bugs will be here soon.

I actually took this photo two months ago at Mayfield Park here in Austin and I've been wondering how many more flowers are blooming now, especially after the rain we've been getting lately. I'll have to carve out some time this weekend to go see.

It's been a while since I had flowers in the house. Or maybe it's been a while since I took any pictures of flowers that were in my house. This one is left over from valentine's day.

We're coming up on to spring soon and my youngest daughter has already started picking flowers for me. I noticed this morning the ones sitting in the window sill are getting ready for their close ups.

I've fallen way behind. On everything.

For my birthday, two weeks ago, we went to a little restaurant that serves Louisiana food. They do a pretty good job for being in the middle of Texas. I had grilled shrimp, fried oysters, apple cider coleslaw and blue cheese mashed potatoes. That was the best birthday dinner ever!
