Good Times

A couple of weeks ago we had a barnraising workday at our house. We are on a team of six households and we rotate doing home improvement projects at each other's houses. At our most recent workday, we did a lot of backyard clearing. For a new-ish development with no trees, we sure had a lot of tree trimming to do. But the trees I didn't think we had all got trimmed and the branches got bundled. I must have put 30 bundles out to the curb and I am so thankful for city pickup of yard waste.
In addition to the yard work, there was some work done on the inside of the house as well. The pantry wall in the kitchen is now painted red to match the family room and it looks great. I'm undecided if we should go ahead and paint the rest of the kitchen red, too, but I went ahead and cleared off the top of one row of cabinets just in case. And it all went on the dining room table where it still sits today.
Not all of it will go back up there. It was too cluttered. And too dusty. I want to go for the minimalist look, not the alcoholic look.
