And so it ends.

It's time to put the flowers on the compost heap.

But. Last night, my oldest and I went to Lowe's to get a window sill seed box. She sowed the seeds for about 6 different types of flowers and this coming weekend we will scope out the yard for the best place to plant them once they are ready.

I'm looking forward to documenting a new cycle of life.

Once again, things have gotten dusty around here. I'm still blaming it on the school year and I'm still believing I will have more time once the summer arrives. We'll see.

I finally got a new point-and-shoot camera. The old one was, well, old. And it had been left outside and then a freak snow/ice storm came and, even though it still seems to work pretty well, I've been telling myself for 2 years I really should get a new one. For the kids, you know? And then I found a right decent one for a right decent price and I scooped it up.

As chance would have it, there is a vase of Mother's Day flowers sitting in my kitchen so I tested the camera out. Then my son grabbed the camera, immediately found the video feature and made a movie where he pretended he was an airplane. You'd think he was 4 and not 10.
